Future of No-Code in 2023?

In the coming years, there will be huge demands on the job of No-Code developers. Tech giants are now started noticing this particular Niche...

What is No-Code?

No-Code tools allow people to create MVPs, Apps, Websites, or any Saas products without knowing the programming language. Its learning curve is quite low compared to the programming skills but it doesn't mean you can make Saas without any effort. Still, you have to be skilled in making user-centric products. you can leverage the time to build something cause you can make products in a very less amount of time with No-Code tools.

Is No-Code going to replace the code in products? How it works.

No, It is not something that replaces the code from products. It is just the layer of visuals in front of You to generate the code behind. It simply facilitates the Drag & Drop option to generate the code in the backend. That's how it works.

Pros & Cons of No-code Tools?

Pros :

  1. Easy Drag-Drop Option

    • Its runs of concept 'WYSIWYG' (What You See Is What You Get) editor. You can easily drag & drop the elements.
  2. Low Learning Curve

    • To learn these No-Code tools you need very less time to understand their user interface but you also need to be skilled with what to deliver and how to design.
  3. Reduce Cost & Time

    • You need to hire a developer to create your idea into a prototype but these No-Code tools can help to create your products by doing your own and reduce your cost and time.
  4. Robust and Intuitive

    • You can completely rely on these tools to develop your desired products and it's very intuitive to interact with users.
  5. Quickly change your feature

    • Whenever you want to change any functionality on your app or website. you have to change the whole Code and re-write it, But with these No-code tools, you can quickly change your features in just a few clicks.

Cons :

  1. No-Code Actually, It is Low-Code!

    • No-Code tools have very limited templates for developing any Products. So, You have to be skilled in Coding to create something new by using custom code in No-Code tools.
  2. Lack of Control & Security Issues

    • You can't control these Third-party tools to avoid compromising your user's data and breach of it. If you put your customer's privacy first, you have to create it by In-House Coding.
  3. Entry Barrier for developing great products

    • Even if it is very easy to learn and develop a product with no-code tools, there is some entry barrier like - Moderate Computer Literacy, Design Thinking, Exposure to Web Standards, User Interface, User Experience, and Good Analytical knowledge.

My predictions for the future of No-Code :

  • Quality will always win over Quantity:

    - In the coming years, this No-code revolution will reach to masses. So, the number of products will increase insanely but still the quality of products depends upon the custom and optimized code.

  • No-Code as Generalized skill:

    - In a few years, It will be important to have a No-Code literacy in Gen-Z even if they're from a non-IT background, The craze of doing a startup is booming and to develop a low-cost MVP everyone will be going literate with it.

  • No-Code will be turned into Low-Code:

    - In a few years, most No-code tools will shift towards the Custom Code, which will be referred to as a Low-Code. So, No-Code tools will exist as Low-Code tools, which will allow users to develop more unique and customized products for their users. It will become an open platform for both No-coder & Coder to develop their full fledge custom products.

  • No-Code Jobs as a Career:

    - In the coming years, there will be huge demands on the job of No-Code developers. Tech giants are now started noticing this particular Niche for example- In 2021, the tech company SAP acquired a No-code platform AppGyver.

So, this is a clear indication of Companies starts noticing this niche, which will create huge demand for No-coder in the future.

  • No-Code will benefit the existing Developer:

    - In this No-Code revolution the speed of developing a product will be reduced but we need to maintain the quality of our product. Even if it reduces the period of development, It cannot meet the quality expectations.

So, Someone who knows quality production with speed building will take benefit from it (like a person with - a Full Stack Developer + No-Code skills will leverage the skill of building fast & quality products).
